I love this grill. At first I was a little hesitant about using it because I feared it wouldn't live up to the other opinions. However one day I decided to make pancakes for my family, heated it up, and started dropping pancakes, and flipping them, before I knew it there were piles of pancakes, stacked pretty high. It cooked fast, evenly, and cleanly. I love it!

Just to add, the item itself works great, however, I accidently tapped the oil catcher on the counter, and it cracked. I dropped it later, and the handled end broke. It' kind of brittle. But the heating platform is great.

I bought this to replace an older griddle whose nonstick surface was coming off. It provides an even heat, although it's not very "strong". Put a cold food item on there and it cools down almost instantly. A handle has also broken from normal handling... so hard to find a good, well made counter top griddle.
