for over 40 years I prepare oriental food. This means WOK . I had woks, cannot count how many. Of course the chinese woks are excellent if you take good care of them. Season them etc. In the last years I used a cast iron wok.The food turned out great but it was so heavy. When I saw the Berndes Fry Pan I thought it might make a great wok, but I was very sceptical. So I sent the company Berndes an email inquiring about the material they use. I was so worried that the nonstick surface would peal.I immediately received a very profession and friendly answer. They assured me I can use very high heat, They did not recommend to use it as a deep fryer. Now I have the pan for a couple of weeks. I can cook all my asian meals in it, it is absolutely non stick, has a flat botton, important for electric stove, is very light weight and easy to clean. I am so happy I bought it and will buy more products from this company.
