This pot is wonderful for oven braises when using larger and cheaper cuts of meat. Cleanup is great, afterall, it is Circulon. I have a couple of 8 quart stockpots, but they are tall and are better suited for boiling pasta, spaghetti, and some soups, and stews that I do on the stovetop.

But, the height of this particular pot makes it excellent for oven braises. It performs well and retains heat. I have absolutely no regrets about making this purchase, and wish I had purchased it before now. It's great for making baked beans in the oven, too. The silicone handles on the pot and lid make it easy to maneuver when using it on the stovetop.

I can't speak for the other reviewers, but this is a great piece of cookware, and I am very happy with it.

The recommendations were spot on here. This is a great pot. The nonstick surface works really well. The handles have a nice rubber grip to them. The size is great for making larger dishes.

Nice looking and very generous size pot and the non-stick surface may actually work. However, after just one use, ours warped so that instead of a flat bottom pot, we now have a shallow curved bottom wok. Not a real good feature on our ceramic cook top. Wobbles very well, now.

Clearly, the aluminum is either too thin or Circulon is using a very poor allow that simple can`t take the heat.

Back it goes. Sometime cheap is just not enough.

The Circulon Contempo Hard Annodized products are GREAT! I have three kids and a grandson at home. We use this pot three to four times per week and it performs GREAT!

It took me forever to make the decision to buy the Circulon Contempo. I have returned 2 pots before this because they just did not have the size I wanted.

The fact that thie bottom of this pot is larger than any of my stove heaters bothered me and I did not want to have to return yet another pan.

Finally I ordered it and I liked it when I saw it. I could not wait to prepare a large enough meal for it to be tested. And it worked just fine. I set it on the largest of my electric heaters which it covered and overlapped by one inch. But keeping it in the center of the heater and cooking at medium heat did the job. My first meal was meatballs with tomato sauce and it was delicious.

Buy it if you like it. It's worth every penny and I have to admit that I bought it for $50.00 and think it was a steal.
