So, I went to all stainless several years ago because I couldn't stand having to use plastic utensils to cook food with in the non-stick pans. Those utensils would always get rough edges on them, and I knew you could never get them really clean, certainly not like a metal spatula/etc.
I figured that I'd see if the technology for non-stick had improved in the last couple of years, and from reading about this pan, it sounded like it had. One of the things I noticed right away was that the manufacturer stated that you could use metal utensils with this. I was skeptical, but took the plunge anyway. After using it for a couple months, and using the metal spatula with it, I have noticed 'hash marks, or scratches' on the surface of this pan. So far it doesn't seem to have negatively affected the non-stick quality of it, but I'm wondering why I would see these marks on the surface if it's advertised as 'metal utensil safe', unless they are normal And just fyi, no I haven't been 'chopping, or banging' on the surface. I've been using a metal spatula the way anyone would, flipping, moving food around, etc.
Ultimately, as far as the 'non-stick' qualities, I gave the pan 3 stars, but until someone from this company can tell me, (or through time) If those scratches are not harmful, I'd have to give the 'metal utensil safe' aspect 2 stars.

Cooks evenly very sturdy!! I will definitely be back to order more of these pans!! Very happy with this purchase.
