This thing is great because it fits on all my other cookware too. My wife bought this with the Crispy frying pan and this guard clips into the pan handle which is the most clever thing because now we don't have to dirty up our counters with grease. We've thrown away all of our mesh guards.

I have two spatter shields. One is a Calphalon 13 inch and this one. Basically do the exact same job. The fissler is made much better but you pay for that. If you own the Fissler Crispy fry pan which is amazing then you have too buy this. It fits perfect and clips onto the pan so you do not make a mess. This thing is made so well that I would say it will last forever. The added bonus is this may also fit your other pans. I only recommend this if you own the Fissler. If not there is no purpose. If you do not have the fissler Fry pan you are really missing out. If I was only allowed to own one pan then I think it would be the Fissler fry pan. I just purchased this pan and am still in shock. Cast Iron Pans? See ya wouldn't want to be ya.. I will only use my cast iron if I need a larger pan. So yes this shield is probably the best on the market but the Calphalon does the same thing for a lot less money.
