First, the measurements as provided were not accurate for the handle I received. My handle was a little over 4 1/2 inches, rather than 5 inches and the "thickness" of the sleeve was more like 3/4 of an inch, instead of 1.2 inches as stated. The opening however, IS 0.8 of an inch, and "gives" very little. Secondly, it didn't fit. In fairness, I did not measure the handle of my pan beforehand--I kind of thought it was a "one size fits most" type of item--wrong. I purchased this for a 12" All-Clad fry pan, but there was no way it was going to fit, regardless of how much I wrangled, pushed or cajoled. I then tried it on my Cuisinart skillet and it wouldn't fit over that handle either. If you look at the pans offered by this company, Thunder Group, it appears they have very narrow handles, so I would imagine these would fit fine on their pans.

Even if it had fit, I don't feel the quality is the best on this product. There are little rough bits of silicone around the opening and the seams are sloppy. It doesn't have a very nice "hand" to it, either. In short, pay attention to the measurements of your handle if you still want to give this a shot, but I feel there are probably muh better options out there. Now I just have to find one myself...

Pay close atten to the dimensions when ordering. I had to modify my 12" wearever skillet handle (grind it down) to make it work.
