This is a commercial type pan for a K-Mart price. I would recommend or give this pan to anyone.

We just bought 4 8" fry pans to add to our collection of 4 for a total of 8 of this size, 2-9" and 1-11".

These pans had a special buy 3 get 4th free.

They have:

1) A nice long handle,

2) Well made alloy,

3) Are induction ready

4) Hold up over time

5) Are "Non-Stick"

5) Are priced right so that if they are damaged we're not out a lot of $$$.

We needed 2 additional pans, however since they were priced 3 for 4 we bought more.

Will be using them for action / feature stations. They clean-up quickly with a paper towel between preparing for clients.

This item is "Made in China". It is "Winware-USA" not "Made In USA". IMHO the product presentation is misleading in this respect. Pricey for a Chinese made stainless fry pan.

I prefer stainless, even for non-stick. This one has a long aluminum handle that does not get hot. The bottom of the pan has a layered sandwich disc of aluminum so the pan heats and cools quickly and sits perfectly flat on our smooth cooktop. Initially, the non-stick property was not the best, but I re-seasoned the pan and it has been acceptable since. I typically get 12-18 months of hard use from these pans. At the price, I don' t mind using them as a disposable asset. I have paid up to $140 of others that last no longer.

I have three of these pans (different sizes) and I do not have a single complaint. Heat is consistent, clean-up is easy and it does the work in a superior fashion. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to spend ridiculous $$$$ on 'Big Name' pans when this is all any chef would need. I entertain 6-8 times per month, year round and I have used many brands of cooking utensils. I highly recommend this one.
