My wife asked for the one and I bought her all three. Five stars for the reaction when she opened the boxes. They are POTS. I don't 'get it', but she's thrilled.
Anyway, objectively, they are well crafted, solid and look to last a lifetime, or two.
UPDATE: My wife has not stopped cooking with these long enough to post a review of her own, but I managed to elbow my way to the stove top to cook up a few of my own simple dishes (soup, chili, Mac n' cheese).
Having been a bachelor for the greater part of my life and not really paying attention to 'pots' as much as what was burning within them...I've used pretty much any pot that was on sale at wal-mart or that my mom pushed off to me when she did her spring cleaning... Until now...
Once my wife loosened her grip on the skillet of this set, I scrambled up some eggs and was amazed how much egg ended up on my plate... All of them, as opposed to less the 10 20% usually lost to my lack of attention and old surfaced pans sticking.
Soup and chili heated up noticeably faster than the pot I'd been using previously (which has since mysteriously disappeared from our cupboards). I suppose one could surmise you can save energy by using these???
I ordered the separate pot holder for the set, but have only needed it once because the handles don't seem to heat up much at all.
My wife has used the larger quart pot for baking bread, using the pot in the oven with great results.
So, from a purely 'goob' husband point of view, these certainly have value. More efficient heating, non-stick enamel surfaces, lifetime quality, added color to stove top, plus the reaction from my better half makes the price worth it to me.
Still highly recommended.

Unless you have strong wrists, these are not for you. And... due to this, the new glass stoves may scratch. These are so heavy, that you have a tendency to want to slide them off the surface. I also had the paint chip on first use. The good news is and why I gave them four stars is that they will last a lifetime and your grandkids may get these. They are great for sauces. I noticed that when making spaghetti sauce, I simply placed the pan on low to medium and it gradually came up to temp and didn't scorch the sauce.Durable, less heat required, and fairly non stick , while easy to clean. Very attractive.

Well, these were a gift to my fiancee' for Christmas. I personally don't understand why this cast iron cookware set is so different than any other cast iron set. I guess it's a highly respected name brand. All I know, is it was both fairly expensive and I expect them to last at least 20 years. I probably won't be doing an update 20 years from now to inform the possible buyer of how they held up but for now, she is very happy with gift, she usues them on a daily basis, tells me they are easy to clean and cook evenly.Maybe next year I'll get a very nice (and large) grill to be in charge of, then I expect to feel how she felt when she opened this surprise.
