I have had this skillet for just under a year now. I bought it to replace my West Bend electric skillet that had a faulty cord (after about 5 years of heavy use). We noticed immediately that no matter how we washed it, or with what kind of detergent, there were huge white spots all over the pan on both the inside and outside. I have had it a few months now, and the non-stick coating has eroded to the point that when I cooked hamburgers last night, they stuck to the pan--and the same happens with random vegetables and potatoes. Everything sticks, it never looks clean, and now it's starting to hold the odor of whatever I cook in it. I am looking now for a replacement cord for my West Bend that is still going strong after 5 or so years, that doesn't make food stick and still looks new. With my large family of 6, I need something reliable to be a companion to my stove/oven. This is definitely not it. Save your money!

For the price, this is a very adequate frying pan. It only lasts a couple of years. We use it at least a couple of times a week. Two years ago, the price was $10 cheaper, but I still bought one again. Who says there's no inflation?

This is the small appliance that should never get relegated to the back of the cabinet!
I use this several times a week.
I cook everything in this at 300 never higher. It browns my meat and caramelizes vegetables at that temp.
It doesn't heat up the counter top either (at that temp), which makes it safer.
This makes a great way to cook bacon and hamburger meat outside of the RV at parks. No grease on the cabinets!
It saves me so much clean-up time and makes it easy to walk away while cooking
It doesn't have the top quality non-stick surface so you'll need to replace it every year if you use it as often as I do.
This is doable considering the low price.
Honest reviews on Download Rival CKRVSK11 11-Inch Square Electric Skillets
I didn't buy this thru Amazon, but wanted to give a review of it. Bought it in June and am very unhappy with it. I read reviews and wanted the 11" Presto skillet (happy customers) but my local big box store only had the Rival 11" in stock. I needed the skillet quickly so didn't have time to order the Presto online, so bought the Rival. What a mistake. Every meal I've cooked in it has burned. Yes, it could have been me -moving from a high altitude state to sea level takes some re-learning, so I really started watching it cook. If you turn it up for cooking pancakes, it gets scary hot and of course completely burns them within a minute -that temp is way past the temp on the dial, so I don't dare set the dial past 300 degrees now. And at 250-300, it turns on, cooks the heck out of whatever is in the pan, then turns off and doesn't go back on til AFTER the food actually stops cooking and the oil/butter, etc stops sizzling. I'll be throwing it out; I don't think it's very safe to use. So save your money and buy a better brand.

I've had this about a month & already it is degrading with only light use. I do not use high temperatures or harsh utensils, but already the non-stick finish is peeling. The material it is made of does not conduct heat good to the entire pan, so you must move the food around to get it right over the conductor. I would not recommend this to anyone, this has to be the worst electric skillet I have ever used!
