This is a great idea and fairly well constructed, but the slots are too thin to hold anything deep. None of my nice cookware fits in it, I'm just using it to store my older stuff. I don't recommend.Best Deals for Cheap Download Frying Pan Storage Rack by Grayline
I have been racking my brain (pun intended) looking for a good way to store my large, heavy Caphalon frying pans. I have read the reviews of people who tried racks like this one and were unhappy with them, and I decided they would not be big enough or strong enough to store my 5 frying pans.Sitting on my desk is a 5-tier, metal, horizontal, letter-size organizer. When I looked at it, I thought, "Hey, I bet that would work!" So I emptied it of my office stuff and tried my large frying pans in it, the largest of which is 12 3/4"W X 22 1/4"L. (The length includes the handle.) Sure enough, it was just perfect! The roll-out drawer I plan to put it in is 12 1/2" wide, so it fits just right. I will put it on the bottom roll-out shelf. The top roll-out shelf will have to be fairly shallow--my small plastic containers should fit just right!
What I like about the 5-tier horizontal, letter-size organizer is that the space between the sections is 2-5/8" so it fits all my pans; it's only 12-1/2" wide, which fits my roll-out shelf size; and it's VERY sturdy. If you take some but not all of the pans, it's not going to tip over. I put the top two pans bottom-side up because the handles tilt up, and I would need to make the overall space higher. By setting them bottom-side up, the handles tilt down and saves vertical space. It costs $40, which isn't cheap, but it will probably last and be handy for the rest of my life!
Be aware that each manufacturer's horizontal organizer measures a little differently. They also come from 3 tiers to 8 tiers and in letter and legal sizes. Amazon carries a lot of different ones. The legal-size horizontal organizers would be perfect to store my 5 PYREX BAKING DISHES which take up a lot of room, are heavy and stacked on top of each other, and are a hassle to take out and to put back because you can't just take out the one you want, and I hate doing it! The size is too big for my roll-out shelves now, but we are having a island made, and I'll be sure to have some of the shelves made wide enough.
I sure hope that other people will be glad to hear about this great organizing tool. I was so excited to figure it out. I'm so appreciative when other people comment about a product that lets me know if would or I wouldn't like it. This is my way of contributing back.
I'm so thrilled that I will be able to reach in and pick the pan I want and not have to pick up all the other pans to get to it, and I don't have to put towels between the pans so they won't scratch.

I ordered two of these, one I returned because it turned out they were wider than anticipated and my shelf didn't fit two as I had hoped. The one I kept has been great for my pans though. We got Henkel brand pans, set of three with the biggest being 12" and smallest being 6". The big pan is not a super high sided pan and barely fits in the rack, but it does squeeze in so it works. Our pan is 2" tall (to give you an idea of the biggest pan that will fit in this unit). The rack is a bit flimsy and it would be nice if it had rubber on the bottom so it didn't move when you took pans out but overall it performs the job its supposed to and it wasn't expensive. I would recommend this as a quick fix to cabinet organization and to save the non-stick on your pans from damage in a cluttered cabinet.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cheap Download Frying Pan Storage Rack by Grayline
I concur with some other reviewers. The slots are too narrow to accommodate any pan more than about an inch in depth. I was hoping this would work for me and plan to return it to Amazon as I have a couple large pans that are simply too deep. That being said, if your pans COULD fit this, I think it would work very well, as it's cheap and sturdy.
