This griddle is large, but light weight. It cooks evenly and browns well. Clean-up is a breeze--just soap and water. Design is outstanding. Have purchased other double burner griddles and they didn't fit my stove because the handles were in the way. The handles on this griddle are molded, low profile and don't get in the way. The defrost feature is great. I start the defrost in my microwave and finsh on the griddle. No cooked spots on the meat and the defrost time is incredibly short. Great product. Needed something large enough to cook multiple food items at the same time and still fit on my grill This works so well I'm considering cooking all my meals on it, as weather permits !!!!

I don't often write about a product unless it is far from what it claims to be. On occaision I do write about a product that does meet expectations and this is one such case. This griddle performs exactly how the product description states with no if, ands or buts. It is probably one of the most gratifying purchases made on Amazon and I've made numerous purchases, most with complete satisfaction. Sounds crazy to talk about a griddle like this but hey it really works. A comment on the people who had negative responses that the grill handles were hot after use. Really? In actuality the grill has molded handles in a sense to make it easier to hold but being the piece is solid metal I don't know what people were thinking trying to lift the grill right off the stove. It's hot! I simply leave it there, enjoy my breakfast, read the paper and then address the grill to be cleaned. It's that simple.

Our family has owned Chef's Design griddles for years.

We'd never be satisfied with our grilled cheese sandwiches,

pancakes, garlic bread, and especially our bacon, if it were

prepared on any of those lighter, thinner griddles.

Chef's Design knows how important the grease-gutter is when you fry

a whole pound of bacon, and how family-friendly it is when you can

make 8 pancakes at a time. Just make sure you folow their advice and

don't anxiously pre-heat the griddle on high.It is a thick surface and

will be ready in no time when you use medium heat. Enjoy!

This is my second Chef's Design Griddle. After around 8 years of service the teflon wore off in a couple of places. This was mostly my fault. I cooked at too high of a temperature. I also scratched it when scrubbing it. I checked around to see what else was on the market. I couldn't find one I like as well as this griddle so I found a replacement on line. One feature I like about this griddle is the grease chanels on the sides. When I fry bacon, the grease runs into the chanels away from the bacon. I don't think anyone that purchase this griddle will regret it.
