This egg cooker works well and is pretty easy to clean. About 50 seconds on full power cooks a large egg just right in my microwave oven. If you are looking for a single egg cooker this one works well. Just remember to break the yoke before you cook it.Best Deals for Review of Download Trudeau Silicone Single Egg Poacher, Yellow
We looked all over for a single egg maker. This one goes right into the microwave and cooks to perfection. Just be certain you clean it right after you're done. Once the egg dries on it isn't that easy to remove. :)Honest reviews on Review of Download Trudeau Silicone Single Egg Poacher, Yellow
Used this for the first time today made my best poached egg ever! I just put the egg in (no cooking spray). I followed the advice of other comments and poked the yolk with a toothpick first. I don't know if that made a difference. Then I cooked it at 80% power for 40 seconds (brief instructions say "medium" power for 35-45 secons). Came out great. So glad I bought this product. Easy cleanup too.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Review of Download Trudeau Silicone Single Egg Poacher, Yellow
I have a newborn, and often don't have time in the mornings to cook my husband breakfast before he leaves for work. I bought this for him so he could easily make his own egg.The egg cooking instructions are wrong, at least for my microwave. It takes 50 seconds on high, not 30-45 on medium. My microwave is perfectly average for everything else I cook, so I don't know why it would be different for an egg.
The lid doesn't attach well, so when the egg pops a bit the lid shifts. One time the lid came off completely and egg got all over the microwave.
It's hard to clean, for some reason, even though it's silicone. I expected the egg to just slide right out, but it doesn't. I have to use a fork or spoon to loosen it, and little bits of egg are practically glued to the thing. This makes no sense to me. I have a Silpat, which is a silicone baking mat, and nothing at all will stick to that. How is this silicone different?
Overall, though, it still cooks a decent egg for my husband in the morning. We're using it, and we won't be returning it. If I had to get another, though, I'd go with a different product.
