The knob does not fit the present version of the Farberware 1-quart saucepan. It fits the earlier version of the saucepan.

This is the original part. Screws directly onto the stud in the lid. Fits perfectly. Should last many years. A dishwasher will eventually destroy this hard plastic.

I ordered two knobs to replace the ones on lids of very old Farberware. The knobs did not screw all the way down, flush with the to top of the pan lid, but close enough not to notice.
