This is a beautiful pot with a polished stainless steel interior and exterior. This was very important to me as I needed a crockpot that did not use typical glazed ceramic for the same reason I avoid non-stick teflon cookware. After noting it's quality, I was surprised by how large the pot is. You could cook 2 whole chickens in this thing. Using it for the first time yesterday, I wanted to burn it in by using the hottest setting. It got very hot very quickly. This could be a plus, but also something to keep an eye on. I was braising a chicken and it was boiling the water within 10 minutes even though the chicken was frozen. The temperature dial has a range from 225 to 425 degrees. I am curious how this will work as a slow cooker and will post an edit later.
Now for the cons : the lid is not heavy enough. As soon as the water began to boil, it started to make the lid bob up and down and splatter everywhere. I did not have it overfilled with water. I put a heavy object on the lid and opened the steam vent in the center of the lid, but it still kept splattering liquid. This happens at it's hottest setting. I don't imagine this will be much of a problem at a lower setting, but don't know yet.
Apart from this issue, this is a great looking, very functional stainless steel skillet/slow cooker that seems to be constructed well with quality materials (except for the too-thin lid, also stainless steel though it looks as if it could be glass in the picture).

This is a very nice pot. I used it as a hot pot and deep fryer. I think it can be used as a stir fryer too. Heating fast. One of the bottom pad did fall off. I had hard time to screw back on. I have to use my own screw. Over all it is a very nice product.Honest reviews on Cheap Download Precise Heat 12-Inch Surgical Stainless Steel Deep
This is a very well made item. The steel used for the pot is heavy and, the heavier the steel, the more expensive its production cost. There is nothing about the pot which reflects "cutting corners" in its manufacture. HOWEVER, IT SHOULD BE NOTED that the riveted handles shown in the photo of the pot DO NOT reflect current production of the item. RATHER, current production uses plastic handles which are recessed into a steel housing WELDED to the exterior of the pot. My initial reaction on receipt of my first of two orders for the item was that the discrepancy reflected an attempt to "cut corners" and I returned that shipment as a "wrong item", which, of course, it was. However, when the replacement order arrived with the same discrepancy, despite my initial reaction of being very upset, I looked more closely at the handles pictured for the item and concluded that, in fact, those would have been less desirable, inasmuch as, from a greatly enlarged photo, those handles are of tubular, rather than solid, steel and tubular steel is very inferior to solid steel. Having come to that conclusion, I then examined the plastic used for the handles in the replacement shipment and was immediately struck by the very heavy quality of that plastic, a feature which, as noted at the outset, reflects increased production cost. In addition, I noted that the recessed housing into which those handles are set was meticulously designed, so as to avoid any sharp edge whatsoever, again reflecting quality. Giving the design change some thought, I concluded that the design change was done so as to provide handles which would be non-heat conductive for the pot, given that steel handles conduct heat. Thus, overall, given the high quality of the plastic used for the handles, I concluded that the design modification actually improved the pot and, as a result, I decided to keep it. I cooked with it the first time two nights ago and was very satisfied. The water I placed in the pot heated quickly and the cover for the pot, notwithstanding that it, as with the pot itself, is of steel and I would have preferred glass, aided significantly in the boiling process. The cover has an adjustable vent and, when closed during cooking, significantly pressurizes the pot's interior, speeding the cooking process. Again, reflecting quality, the plastic used for the cover handle and vent adjustment lever, which, incidentally, match the plastic used for the handles, though are of a different type of plastic, are, similarly, very heavy. Finally, on the underside of the cover, there is a rubber seal which surrounds the screw which secures that handle to the cover, again, reflecting quality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cheap Download Precise Heat 12-Inch Surgical Stainless Steel Deep
Received instead:Precise HeatTM 12" Surgical Stainless Steel Deep Electric Skillet/Slow CookerI actually received a different, less costly skillet, but with the same description.
The skillet is very nice and works well, but there is a great amount of water loss while cooking.
