I like the nonstick surface being extended to the outside of the pan. The older ones were painted with enamel paint which chipped off.

Very disappointed! Turns on when plugged in and dial is in OFF position. Burns almost any thing that is on the heating element. No vent to allow steam to escape on lid. One good thing is it is very deep. Throwing it away as I feel it is dangerous.

Well.........It's O.K. per my wife but not like the previous one.

For example if she's trying to simmer It does not simmer. It like will not get simmered unless she puts it on a higher temp setting.

Either something is wrong with the temp control unit or the coil area. So she just uses the skillet when higher temps are required.

We've bought West Bend skillets like this one for years but for some reason this one just does not cut it.

the lid has a poor finish on it, so had to use the old lid on my old elec skillet. However, the shipping, ordering, etc. was excellent. I had bought one of these at the store and didn't like the glass lid which is why I researched to find one like I had before. It also does not have a vent on it another reason I'm reusing my old lid. But thats a West Bend thing and not the vendor.
