"Most instances when the non-stick coating has lost its' non-stick properties, it is due to overheating of the pan. Cookware with non-stick coatings should be used on low to medium heat settings. Due to the superior quality of All-Clad cookware the cookware will heat up quicker and retain the heat. One indication that your pan has been overheated is that your non-stick has turned a brown or rusty color. Overheating of the non-stick coating will cause the non-stick properties to break down. As a result you will find that foods are sticking to the cookware. Overheating voids the warranty. You may try to clean the non-stick coating with a mixture of baking soda and mild dish detergent using a soft cloth. Depending on the degree of overheating, this may help return some of the
non-stick performance."
You will also void the warranty by dishwashing or using metal utensils. I've never done either but this one I can't promise about. Did I use more than medium heat? Are you kidding?! I can't imagine why a pan designated for use on the stove top can't take high heat without being damaged. I thought being durable was what I was paying for with All-clad. grrrrrr.......
In other words if you send your pan back they will likely find some way that you voided your warranty and return it to you. So much for a lifetime warranty!

I got this as a Warehouse deal from Amazon and didn't really notice any defects with it. The nonstick surface is great it's a bit rougher texture than my old Calphalon pans. Not sure how that helps performance, but it's definitely effective. Love the long handle. This is a heavy duty pan.UPDATE:
I've been using the pan for about a year now, and I've noticed the outer coating has worn away slightly in spots where it's prone to abrasion. Also, hardened grease doesn't seem to clean very easily from the outside surface, and I'm nervous to use my barkeeps friend cleaner on it. I will probably stick to the stainless varieties from now on.

I'm a big fan of All-Clad cookware. I own several types (LTD, Stainless, copper core). None of them have given me any trouble except for this skillet. The outside warps after only a few uses so that the pan wobbles and won't sit flat. I've replace it several times but with each pan the same results occur. Very disappointing because otherwise it is an excellent pan. The handle is comfortable, the outside is very scratch resistant, the pan is thick and heavy and heats very evenly. When I need to cook large breakfasts, this is the pan I use. I have the 14" LTD2 fry pan in the non-stick version which has the same handle as the Copper Core line which is longer and wider which in my opinion gives better comfort and control for this largest of All Clad's fry pan.I originally decided to buy an All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch French Skillet over this All Clad 14" fry pan since both pan bottoms are the same diameter (same amount of cooking surface). But the French skillet's pan top has a smaller diameter than the 14" fry pan due to the steeper slope. When I need to cover the French skillet when cooking, I can use the lid from my All Clad 6 quart sauté pan. There is no All Clad lid I know that I can cover the 14" fry pan, not even if you buy it separately. But, as another person noticed, the 13" French skillet has a noticeable high pan center that I first noticed when frying eggs on it (the eggs kept sliding away from the center of the pan). You may not care if you cook omelets but then the pan's utility is limited. The LTD2 14" fry pan is about one pound heavier than the All Clad 13" French skillet (4.11 lbs versus 3.1 lbs). Both pans heat up equally fast and evenly on my gas range.
This is my first All Clad LTD2 piece (I have a 12" fry pan and 1 quart sauce pan in the original LTD). I noticed that the anodized finish of the original LTD series is not very hard and wears away quite easily when compared with the original Calphalon anodized aluminum finish. Only time will tell how well the newer hard anodized finish will last.
PROS:
The 14" fry pan bottom is level so it can allow for frying eggs when compared with the 13" French skillet (which has a noticeable raised pan center).
Has the longer and wider Copper Core style handle which provides better control when compared with the same pan in Stainless or original LTD.
CONS: No lid available for the 14" fry pan if you want to steam or braise.

I should qualify this review by saying that I LOVE All-Clad products, especially the design of the LTD2 line; however, this is probably the LAST piece of non-stick cookware that I will purchase made by All-Clad. For some reason they just cannot seem to figure out a long-lasting, dependable non-stick solution.I take excellent care of my All-Clad and don't even own a dishwasher so everything is hand-washed. Nevertheless, the non-stick coating stops functioning properly in less than a year. Eggs sticking, fish, etc.
This is my second Nonstick Fry Pan and both have the same issues.
Again, I love most All-Clad products but feel it wise to share my experiences with others on their non-stick pans.
