Because wooden spoons can splinter, require special handlng, cannot be put in the dishwasher and may not be terribly sanitary as a result, I was looking for a good substitute. This Silicone Spatual-Spoon is it.It's sturdy enough to mix bread dough (which I do, often), and are great for coated cookware which may be damaged by metal utensils. The silicone part can be pulled off the wooden handle & put through the dishwasher, then put back on very convenient.

I love the entire collection of Revolution Silicone tools in Cassis. The color is perfectly purple. It is not bright and flashy. It is like a muted dusty dark purple.This spatula spoon is very well made (as are all the pieces in the set) and the silicone head is very substantial and durable feeling. I love the entire set. They perform well, are made well and look great.
My only minor concern is the wooden handles. They are unfinished wood, so after a few washes they get lighter in color and have sort of an aged or "weathered" look to them. I wash and dry them right away after use so that there is no staining on the handles and no warping from water exposure. Other than that, the handles seem durable enough that they won't break or anything.
