The first time I used this griddle was the first time I've successfully turned out huge, perfectly browned pancakes that did not stick to the pan. One coat of Pam (recommended by the manual) glided me through a full batch of cakes. You can't use high heat with this griddle, and it takes about 10 minutes to heat up on medium. Next time I'll plan ahead so I won't be impatiently waiting around, flicking water at it every 30 seconds. Clean up was a breeze. Highly recommended!

Positive: Solidly built, heats evenly or unevenly if dialed in that way using via adjusting the burners.

Cons: 2-3 years of use before the before coating deteriorated.

Consideration: The nonstick surface is easy to clean, but the shape made it awkward to clean (and I have an oversized sink)

I'm on my second griddle in about 15 years. It is used at least twice a week and is very versatile. For breakfast, I can make the bacon and then fry eggs right after. For pancakes, I can easily do eight at a time. With the cooking suface even with the sides, flipping of pancakes is easy.

This morning I sliced and cooked a pound of scrapple at one time, then followed up with French toast. Everyting cooks evenly as it is heavy and distributes the heat well with no hot spots.

Cleanup is a breeze. Let it cool from cooking, then I just wipe it with a soapy sponge and rinse.

Did you forget to take the steaks out of the freezer? Put them on the griddle and it will defrost them quickly as it has good thermal mass. I'd never be withoug this in my cooking arsenal.

I bought this griddle for camping many years ago. I think closer to 30 years ago. I am still very happy with this griddle. It is the right size for my Coleman stove, has the right amount of grease groove and reservoir in the corner, great non-stick surface, super easy to clean, etc. I was cleaning up after my recent camping trip and was thinking "what would I do if something happened to this griddle" and decided to see if they are still made and found this listing. Especially since it was made in the USA. I thought for sure the only options would be made in China. Imagine my surprise to see that they're still available AND MADE IN THE USA! Extremely happy with this quality griddle. By the way, the nonstick is still in great shape, but I have only ever used plastic spatulas.
