My wife has had one of these for several years now and uses it in the kitchen a lot for making candy and checking temperatures on all sorts of foods. I have used it at the grill but was told that if I am going to use this for the smoker, that I needed to get my own. That's all she had to say! I now have my own to use with the smoker and outdoor fryer too! A great, easy to use thermometer that you can set based on the type of meat or food you are preparing with an alarm to alert you when you reach the recommended temperature. It of course can be shut off in order to achieve a higher temp. It's easy on batteries, easy to use and a great little device, especially for the price!

The Bradley Digital Thermometer is a great tool to help ensure your meat products turn out the right way each and every time. It has more bells and whistles on it than I need to know about or use, for me just know the temperature at the center of the cut of meat I'm smoking or baking is enough.

I got this for my husband thinking that we could set the temperature that we wanted, but there is not an option for this. Overall I would have payed more for a better one then this average thermometer.
