I couldn't believe how easy it was to clean after making grilled cheese sandwiches with thick sliced Velveeta cheese after it oozed out onto the plates. I practically cleaned it completely after they cooled with a paper towel. Great

Buying this appliance was a leap of faith, I didn't see any reviews on Amazon and information was sparse as to the kind of plates that come with it. I eventually managed to google and find another website which has more description and images of the product (see link below).

We wanted a portable, easy to store and clean, no frills appliance which does the job. If you're an aficionado about these types of devices, end up mapping the temperature profile of the heating area etc., this review (and our needs) would not be very pertinent. The plates are easy to install and very easy to clean. Thus far we've not had any issues with our appliance.
