I bought my first one of these pans at a kitchen supply store. Liked it so much that I bought another two from Amazon for friends, and they've now bought more for their friends. The shape is strangely useful, and the low/high sides simply work. In addition, it's just big enough for a standard-size bacon press (small round frying pans aren't).
If you're cooking for a crowd, get a bigger pan. But for one or two people, this pan is ideal.

I've had the same pan as this for five years. It was excellent but I probably didn't keep the best care of it. I purchased this new one and it is great. Highly recommended for omelettes, sunny side eggs etc.
